Sorry for the lack of updates. When we got to Sisters, OR we took a look at the weather and decided that Sisters was a good place to end our hike. It was tempting to just power through the last 200 miles or so to Crater Lake regardless of a cold rainy forecast just to say we finished, but in the end we decided that we didn’t want to end with a forced march of misery. We’d rather finish on a positive note and just come back and hike this section another year. It is bittersweet to finish after six months of hiking, but Sisters was a beautiful place to end, and generally we are ready to return to ‘the real world’. We are thankful to have made it 2400 miles or so without any major problems and we are appreciative to the many people that helped us. Cheers!
